HOLMDEL, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — State police with K-9 dogs are searching the woods for a person suspected of shooting two people outside a hip-hop concert in central New Jersey.

The shooting happened late Monday outside the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, causing panic among the crowd attending a show by Big Sean and J. Cole.

Witnesses said the gunfire began after an argument broke out in the parking lot.

“As I was cleaning, doing my job, everyone who was here heard gunshots,” an arena employee said. “We heard four of them — it was like firecrackers going off since the show was over — and then we heard like five more. Everyone in the parking lot started running.”

State police say the suspect fled into nearby woods.

The two victims were flown to area hospitals in critical but stable condition, CBS2’s Janelle Burrell reported.
