MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s August, and the weekend started off great with a #Top10WxDay! With all the humidity cleared out of the Twin Cities, it was a great weekend to get outdoors. Don’t worry — you haven’t quite missed your chance! Here are some great ways to enjoy the weather this weekend in Minnesota.

First, the Annual Key Log Rolling Open at Paddle For Humanity! Head out to Lake Calhoun and put your lumberjack balancing skills to the test. Proceeds from this event go towards the Minneapolis Parks Foundation.

On Tuesday, people around the country will head out into their neighborhoods as part of National Night Out. And here in Minnesota, we tend to lead the nation in participation. St. Paul’s National Night Out coordinator Pam McCreary stopped by to tell us what it’s all about.
