PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — It’s going to be a steamy, sizzling, sweltering day across parts of the Delaware Valley. It has hit 95° four different times so far this year, and we expect yet another on Wednesday. Factor in the humidity, and you get “feels-like” temperatures approaching the century mark. For this reason, the National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Philadelphia and the immediate suburbs, which goes into effect at noon and lasts through 6pm this evening. An air quality alert is also in effect for all counties except for southeast NJ. If you are someone that may have trouble breathing, take it very easy outside today.
