JAYAPURA, Indonesia (CBS SF) — A magnitude 7.0 earthquake Monday afternoon in Indonesia, but there was no immediate tsunami threat.
The USGS reported the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck about 153 miles west of Jayapura around 2:40 p.m. pacific time Monday afternoon.
The quake struck at a depth of 1.5 miles.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
